Cost per hour

What a tractor costs to run is mostly fuel, and fuel use is something a laboratory measures. These are the litres and US gallons each tractor burned per hour on its test at maximum PTO power. A tractor whose test recorded fuel only at other conditions is not in this table (its own page shows those).

How do I work out my cost per hour?

Cost per hour = fuel used per hour × your fuel price

Use litres per hour with a price per litre, or US gallons per hour with a price per US gallon. At lighter work a tractor burns less; these are full-load figures, so they give the upper end.
