Sources and licences
Every figure on WhichTractor carries a source record. Beside each figure we name the source and what kind of document it is; each page ends with a Sources block that cites the documents in full, links them and states their licence. This page lists the publishers.

Under what licence is WhichTractor’s data?
The compiled facts are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0, because a substantial part is built on CC BY-SA material and share-alike requires it. Laboratory reports and government registers are cited as facts; their documents are not reproduced. We do not host manufacturers’ manuals or brochures.
What do we change in the material we cite?
We take facts from each document — figures, units, designations — convert them to both unit systems and store them with their source. We do not copy text, photographs or diagrams. Where a source is not in English, a figure is translated as a checked extraction step and the original wording is kept beside it.
Where do the photographs come from?
No photographs are published yet. A photograph will appear only with a licence that permits it — for example from Wikimedia Commons — and with its creator, credit line and licence shown beside it. We never generate an image of a specific tractor.
