How much power at the shaft?

Why believe these numbers?

Because each one says where it came from. Where an independent laboratory has tested a tractor, its page leads with the power measured at the PTO shaft and names the test report — 232 reports on file for 38 of the 3,138 tractors on record. Where no test exists, the figure is labelled as the manufacturer’s claim, never as measured.

  1. 100%

Every figure names where it came from

153,788 stored values, drawn from 3,544 sources, each with the work, the page and the date it was read. A value with no source is not written down at all.

  2. 38of 3,138

Measured is never mixed with claimed

That many have a figure measured at the PTO shaft by a laboratory. On the rest, the power figure is labelled the manufacturer’s claim — on the figure itself, not in the small print.

  3. 232

The gap is printed, not hidden

Laboratory test reports are on file. Where one exists the page shows the brochure number struck through beside the measured one, because the difference between them is the thing a buyer is actually asking about.
