The history of AGRIFULL
Agrifull lasted five years as an independent name and was then absorbed by the group that bought it.
The first model, shown at the Verona agricultural fair in 1975, was the 485. Many of the earliest machines were based on TOSSELI tractors, and they were sold under names rather than numbers — Jolly-45, Derby-60, Griso-70, Tornado-80 — where the figure gave the rated power. The VM engines they used were a defining feature. At the end of 1976 the names were replaced by numbers while the engineering stayed largely as it was.
Early in 1980, as part of a standardisation exercise, Agrifull was absorbed into Fiat Trattori SpA, and lost most of its identity in the process. Some of the tractors were taken into the Fiat Trattori range, keeping their VM engines until those were replaced; others continued to carry the Agrifull name but were sold with Fiat-Iveco engines.
