Cookies
In effect from 17 September 2026
This site sets no cookies. That is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains what that means and what we would tell you if it ever stopped being true.
No, really — none
No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no "preferences" cookies, no tracking pixels, and nothing stored in your browser's local storage either. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to, and a banner asking permission for nothing would be theatre.
You can check. Open your browser's developer tools on any page of this site, look at Storage or Application, and the cookie list for whichtractor.com will be empty.
Then how do you count readers?
With Plausible, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying anyone. It cannot follow you from one site to another, or recognise you on a second visit. We get a number of page views per page; we do not get you. More detail is on the privacy page.
What your browser does store
Your browser caches pages, images and fonts from this site so that it loads quickly the next time. That is your browser's own cache, not a cookie, it identifies nobody, and clearing your browsing data removes it.
Our host, Cloudflare, can set a security cookie (__cf_bm) on sites that use its bot management. We do not have that feature turned on, and no such cookie is set today. If we ever turn it on to keep the site up, this page will say so.
Advertising
There are no adverts on this site today, and no advertising code is loaded — the ad slots are switched off in the build, so they emit nothing at all. The site is intended to carry advertising eventually. When it does, an advertising network will almost certainly want to set cookies, and at that point this page will be rewrittenbefore the first advert appears, saying which network, what it sets, what it is for and how to refuse it. A consent banner will appear then, because then there will be something worth asking about.
